1 1⁄4 pounds lean ground beef or bison
14 1⁄2 fluid ounces canned unsalted diced tomatoes
1 cup onion, freshly chopped
1 medium garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon chili powder
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1⁄2 teaspoon ground cumin
1⁄2 teaspoon oregano leaves
1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
1⁄4 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
2 cups macaroni, whole-wheat, cooked
- Crumble the ground beef into a slow cooker. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the macaroni. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
