You May Qualify for Subsidies

  • The Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC) is an income-based subsidy that can lower monthly premiums (available to those who purchase plans on-exchange).
  • Cost Sharing Reductions (CSR) are also income based and can lower deductibles, copays and coinsurance costs (available for on-exchange Silver plans only).
  • SilverEnhanced Savings has a $0 monthly premium and lower  deductibles, copays and coinsurance costs (only available for eligible enrollees who buy the “Silver Enhanced 94%” plan through the OmniSalud program).

Colorado Option plans have the same benefits and cost-sharing across all health insurance carriers in Colorado. These plans generally have lower premiums and cover basic healthcare needs, considered “essential healthcare” under the Affordable Care Act. Individuals and families can enroll in Colorado Option plans via Connect for Health Colorado, Colorado Connect or directly through DHMP.
